We have identified that we are non-compliant with the accessibility regulations and we plan to review and make changes within 12 months:

Critical: Issues that block access to content or functionality for users with disabilities and may prevent users from performing essential actions.

1. Images to have alternative text
2. Form elements must have labels
3. ARIA elements will be checked and tested using screen reader software to ensure the site is navigable by visually impaired users.

Serious: Issues that significantly impair access or usability but may still be partially usable with workarounds. They don’t fully block access, but they can confuse or slow down users relying on assistive technologies.

1. Colour contrast issues will be updated so they meet the minimum requirement of 4.5:1 to meet WCAG AA standards. There will need to be some discussion/agreement on what is acceptable with brand guidelines in mind as to what passes the contrast ratio for WCAG AA compliance.
2. Interactive controls must not be nested
3. Links must have discernible text
4. Scrollable region must have keyboard access
5. All touch targets must be 24px large, or leave sufficient space

Disproportionate burden

Some of the content on the website is provided by third parties in the form of plug-ins, such as captcha and cookies consents. Where there are accessibility issues with these third-party plug-ins, we have raised those with our suppliers, and we are working to find solutions to the extent possible. Accessibility will be considered as part of any future renewal processes with our suppliers of website content.

Preparation of this accessibility statement

This website is tested for compliance to WCAG 2.2 AA standards.

We carry out manual and automated accessibility testing on the main pages of the website using the automated tests using the Web AIM WAVE reporting tool and AXE devtools. Then we examine the findings and devise a solution in preparation for implementation.

By using WAVE and AXE in tandem for reporting there is a greater chance of success catching all non-compliant issues and future proofing the Lifelocker website.
